For my bachelor party we did the paintball war in the morning followed by an "all night" poker party. It was pretty low key, and there was no guilt associated with the whole issue.

I have organized other bachelor parties for my friends where "Peaches and Cream" appeared with some Texas sized confetti, and those were fun as well. I just didn't want to deal with the baggage, personally, that a send off like that might come with.

There have been a few road trips since then to study the ancient Canadian custom of brass pole dancing, but only in moderation.
