Back when I was a youngster, early teens, there was a resort on the Sail river, it was just west of Sail and Seal rocks, about a Mile west of Snow Creek resort. It was called "Peters Neay Bay Resort". I caught my first king while staying there. It was a 20 pounder caught between mushroom and slant rocks, 20 yards off of the kelp.

Years later it was sold, and turned into the "Neah Bay Resort". I visited and fished there in my early 20's, and again in my early 30's. We used my 17 ft Bayliner. Had some sick friends a couple of times. They must have needed more beer.

Is it still there? If so I would love to stay there again. The cut between the sandstone rocks to get into the little bay was awsome. The run to Whadha is about the same as from Big Salmon.

Anybody remember Mel's resort, and the 15 foot aluminum kicker boats they rented with 25 hp outboards? Boy did my buddies and I ever get those babies bloody out off of the whistler just northwest of Tatoosh in early Sept.

Enough from me......Many fond memories of Neah Bay, and all of the talk brought on this post....Tight Lines.
