Parker,

I've camped at Troublesome creek many times. It's a National Park campground, not a state park. Hopefully you have a reservation, otherwise you might be out of luck as it fills up every weekend during the summer.

The NF Sky right there is full of small trout (smolts?) and a small, black or brown de-barbed rooster tail will catch you a few. We usually go there just to enjoy the scenery and putz around for the weekend, more than for any type of serious fishing adventure. I imagine that if you scouted around downstream near Index, you could probably find a summer or 2. (6 would definitely be pushing it, even for you! :p wink )

My advice would be to concentrate on other activities, (like drinking maybe laugh ) and if you're serious about fishing, try down near the forks. beer

Have fun, that sure is some pretty country up there. smile
