I don't know Dick but I fished up there several times.

If your fishing salt water I couldn't tell you much other than to stay out of the narrows in front of Marble River when the tide is running! It's stronger flowing than Deception pass.

Should be lots of Sockeye in that river as well as the large lake at the campground on the way to Port Alice. Pinks, bows, at end of July I reckon. Try hiking downstream from the camp to the falls then walking upriver, fishing as you go. There's an impassable canyon pool about a mile up- that section is not for the faint of heart. All salmon must be released.

Stay off the logging roads during the day (6am -6pm) unless you have a death wish. The truck drivers are crazy (they don't expect traffic and are always in a hurry).

Wishin I were up there with a full tank of gas and my fishing pole. Ahh someday.
