Not too much in way of steelhead right now, but right above Granite Dam is pretty decent in Sept and Oct. Not the most exciting fishing, but a lot of fish are caught there.

I used to fish the Tucannon a lot when I lived over there. The mouth is usually a good bet when it opens Sept 1st. A lot of private property around Starbuck, but most are pretty good about allowing fishing. The Touchet also gets a good run of fish, but that doesn't usually start to pick up until mid to late winter right in Dayton....both about and hour and a half away.

Then of course, the lower Grande Ronde in October and November is incredible. That's about 2 hours, but WELL worth it.
