We did a trip similar to yours a couple years ago. We didn't fish seriously at all, but hooked a few rockfish. If you get very far into the sound I wouldn't expect much salmon traffic. Good luck walking ashore at low tide without stepping on an oyster, though.

You can shower under the waterfall at Teakerne Arm. Pendrell Sound has some of the warmest water in the northern hemisphere if you want to go for a swim.
