When I was there a couple weeks ago the hot lures were the cop-car coyote spoon, 4 and 5 inch , trolled 40" behind a hotspot chartruse or green flasher. Also, a green label herring on a rotary salmon killer, (a plastic head to spin a whole herring). One guy had a hot day with an Apex spoon in a bluish silver color, trolled behind with a 4 oz banana sinker. In the fog you had to be careful, the silvers hammered the lures before you could get them on the downrigger clip, had to be careful the line wasn't tip wrapped as then the line would break off if it was a silver of any size. When the fishing was slower, the guys that jigged up live herring at the docks and used them were getting action when lures/cutplugs were waiting. Ask at the docks, most guys would tell you what they used and where they were. The only thing that was slow was the bottom fishing, had to work hard for the ling/cabizon/bass we did get.
