Aunty,

Just to be clear, I have the highest respect for CFM, rough around the edge or not, and am proud to consider him my friend these last 11 years or so. We are both dedicated to the fishery resource, each in our own way. Our disagreements here are seldom about facts, since facts are verifiable. Our opinions occasionally diverge about what is "best" for the resource and our respective interpretations about what we are entitled to under the law. But it's a good arrangement. I think I can constructively inform CFM from time to time, and he damn sure keeps me on my toes! Public service is most satisfying when I can make a positive difference for a resource and when relating to members of the public I serve.

Sincerely,

Salmo g.
