A beautiful day, lots of big Coho and record attendance came together to spell success for the annual Edmonds Coho Derby held yesterday, Sept. 6th at the Edmonds marina. There were many excited young anglers who walked away with trophies, prizes and cheers from the crowd. The smiles on their faces were priceless and summed up the day. One such new angler, Spencer, won second place overall and first place in the youth division with a Coho of 11.5# (cleaned and dressed). Spencer took home $750 in cash, a huge engraved trophy, a West Marine kayak and several other prizes. The first place fisherman took home a cash prize of $1500. Over 150 fish were wieghed in with the top ten all over 9#. The mystery fish weight was 6# 2.5oz and the $200 prize was won for the fish closest to that wieght which was 6# 2oz.

Many PP regulars stopped by to say hi and join in the festivities. Thanks to all who participated. This fund raising event will now make it possible for PSA SnoKing to continue supporting kids fishing activities and advance the cause of sports fishing throughout the community and the state.
