Since you are getting a new setup, and to address your concern about handling in high wind and current situations, get a 4 stroke Yami big motor also. I was fishing in the middle of a bunch of guides up in BC, and they don't even use trolling motors, just troll on the big motor. These guys were trolling at sockeye speed with 18 foot Silverstreaks and Yami 115 4 strokes and a bunch of dudes on downriggers, right into the wind, rain, and tide with no control problems at all. Those big 4 strokes will idle all day just like a car engine, and when it's real nasty out are a good alternative to sitting back there fighting the kicker.
