It's a zoo up at the Meat Hole.

I've never seen that many people and boats before.

If you like to blatantly snag fish, you'd fit right in. Most of the fish are coming in to shore backwards, sideways, upside down, etc.

It's like the Skokomish right now at the Meat Hole. The water has not gone up to it's normal post Labor Day 3,000 CFS, so people are wading out to the two riffles at the Meat Hole and are lining up (pun intended) to snag the meandering fish.

If you've got a boat, and are not afraid to run the Lewis at these levels (easy), the fishing is good for steelies, coho, and kings. We were easily in to double digits on fish.

A proud first for me - I managed to boondog up 3 adult (jacks don't count) salmon species in a day. Hit 2 steelies, a coho, and a mid-teen king. Very cool!
