The Puget Sound Anglers Whidbey Island Chapter Coho Salmon Derby is Sept. 20. Open fishing grounds are Marine Catch Areas 9 and 8-2. Cost is $5 per angler. Largest coho wins $500 cash, second $300 and third $150. Weigh-in by 1 p.m. at the Holmes Harbor Rod and Gun Club on Brooks Hill Road.

The club's general public meeting is 7 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Holmes Harbor Rod and Gun Club. At the meeting anglers will discuss where to go and how to catch coho in time for the derby. For details, call 360-341-1783.
