Hit the point today to close out my regular salmon season before moving on to hunting. I am glad we did. Though the fishing was not the fastest it has been, as a matter of fact, it was dead slow for the most part, we did manage to catch three.

We took out a couple of new fisherman and to our astonishment, Rodney Taylor, a co-worker was able to land a beauty of a King. Still fairly bright and tipping the scales at near 40 lbs. !!!!

Guess there are still some big-uns out there! We managed another small BM and one silver to boot. These were also caught by another novice. All in all, a great trip. Biggest fish I have seen caught in the Sound. Bigest I have netted as well.

I will post pics as soon a they are developed and scanned in. For Rodney, it was truly a fish of a lifetime.

(Fish was 99 cm overall length. Caught right in front of the boathouse in 230ft of water. DR set to 77 feet, speed at 2.0 knots. Using pink hotspot with Coyote spoon in "Army Truck" 26" leader and herring smelly jelly.)
