A drift boat is far superior to fish from as far as comfort is concerned. Catarafts can be broken down for storage and transport. The drift boat rows better in water that is class 3 or less, but might be a swamping risk in heavy water. The only NW rivers that I know that fit that description are the Sol Duc, the Rogue, and the Deschutes.

Unless you have a need to break the craft down or need to cover really heavy water, a drift boat is a superior choice. I have fished hundreds of hours out of catarafts, and thousands of hours out of drift boats.
