Should have been there Saturday morning. Got there ~7:30 and we were probably the 12th car there. Couldn't believe it. Thought there would have been a lot more people than that. River was just a tad high, but was dropping fast to that perfect green. Saw a lot of fish caught...including one guy who had a 37" 17 pounder. I brought my girlfriend with me, and she doesn't have boots, so we were relegated to fishing upstream of the hatchery creek. Only a couple people above the creek where fishing seemed to be slower, but we still managed to hook three and land two. One was a small silver. We didn't stay all that long as I had a couple zipper areas I wanted to hit and it was getting more crowded. But, the people I talked to who were fishing below had multiple hookups. I've never fished Reiter on the opener, so I have nothing to compare it to, but most people I talked to said fishing was really good. Only drawback was that most of the fish were pretty dark. Can only imagine what it was like this morning after word got out.
