There is a big cottonwood tree across the Satsop about 2 miles below Cook Creek. Portage is required unless you get really lucky and get over it without flipping, like I did. I was fishing alone, so I couldnt portage the tree, as it went a ways up the bank and I have a bad back. Lucky for me and my dog moose, we were able to barely slide over it and make it to the ramp at dark. it was sticking up about 8 inches out of the water on Saturday, we rammed it nose first them jumped up and down to get over it, very lucky..
as for fishing,,,no silvers at all
lots of fiesty chums and a few kings, same report from others, silvers were a no show, what up with that?
