I've been a fan of Dave's for longer than I like to admit. As a child, I remember sneaking my portable radio under my pillow at night to listen to the Angel games. I recall one night Dave made the call of a Brian Downing walk off home run. It was vintage Dave, and my favorite baseball moment untill the 95' Mariner season. He was also the voice of KTLA TV and when he left for the Mariners, Angel baseball was never the same.

We are very fortunate here in the Northwest. We have, and have had some of the best ever. I dont know how close Dave is to getting in to a HOF, but he should be the first of several from Seattle. Calabro, Rhondo, and Pete Gross are likley cantidates too.

And as for Ron Fairly, he sort of grows on you. He has great insight and stories. There's just that excentric style of his. It used to bug me, but as I get older(43 now), I notice it less and less. wink
