"Thank you for your e-mail correspondence to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) Fish Program.

Dissolved Oxygen levels in the Canal remain low and fishing for squid is still closed. The most recent readings, taken between October 26-29, show some improvement in dissolved oxygen but the levels are still stressful for animals. We are taking additional measurements this week and will reevaluate the situation the week of Nov 10."

Thanks for your patience with this closure. Things are improving and hopefully the closure will be lifted soon.

If you have further questions, please email again or call (360) 902-2700. Our Customer Service hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Have you heard anything? - I haven't.
