Greetings Folks - I have been lurking around here reading all the stories I can about your fishing adventures. I have truly enjoyed most of the threads and learned plenty from reading your posts. I made three excellent trips to Sekiu this year using things I learned on this web site. Thanks!
I figured I would ask those who fish what their suggestion(s) might be to take a buddy fishing. My bud used to live here about 8 years ago and is back here on business. We only have this Friday then he is on his way home back east. I would like to take him salmon fishing if I can find a location with a fair chance of getting into fish. He misses out on our fishing and longs to return to the Pacific Northwest.
Any suggestions on where to go?
I have a 21’ Striper and was thinking of putting in at Kingston to fish (Chums, Blackmouth?) Possession or maybe Point No Point. I had also thought of fishing Hoodsport from the water side for Chums, but the boat is difficult to get into without launching next to a float, and Twanoh State park has the floats pulled for the winter. I do not know if Triton Cove State Park has the floats in or not. It would be a long run down to Hoodsport but worth it if we got into fish. I know of no other launch with floats any closer to Hoodsport. Do you?
Your recommendations are most appreciated and thanks for your time
