Does the palomar knot work with mono? I've only used the palomar knot with braided lines.

I pretty much only use the rivers inlet knot on hardware/plugs, as shown above. Works great for heavier lines.

For bait leaders, on lighter lines (less than 15 lbs) I use the improved clinch. I used this knot all summer on a bazillion leaders and never broke one at the knot.
