I am supposed to give a lecture about salmon/steelhead fishing to 54 fourth graders on Tuesday. I am looking for ideas for props, topics and gifts. So far I have maps, three mounts, hookless lures and I am going to tie up 54 leaders without hooks ( cut off at the shank) to give away.
The class is studying the social, economic, historical and enviromental influences salmon have on our community. They have other speakers planned- a state biologist and an indian. I really want to keep this primarily fun and secondly informative.
If any one has any ideas, now is the time to step up! If anyone has done this before I would appreciate advice.
Thanks in advance

In the legend of King Arthur, the Fisher King was a renowned angler whose errant ways caused him to be struck dumb in the presence of the sacred chalice. I am no great fisherman, and a steelhead is not the covenant of Christ, but with each of these fish I am rendered speechless.
