Ya, the Skagit is really a Drift boat only river.

I do not have a sled (buddy's do) I have a driftboat and sled is the best option for fishing that big water. You can be fishing a sweet slot on one side then the slot moves to the other side and you need to row your arse off to get way over there. Not to mention when they open the gates in the damn you can nearly ride the wake.
