Use a fairly stout rod and 25lbs mainline. Attach a swivel to the end and then 4 - 5 feet of lighter line for a dropper. To that tie a cannonball sinker; 8 - 10 oz depending on current. Sling tthat baby out into the salmon's traveling lane. Then take your sardine wrapped kwikfish and tie about 4 feet of 20lbs leader to it with a snap swivel at the other end. Snap the swivel onto your mainline and let it slide down into the water. It will come to rest against your lower swivel and you'll be fishing about 4 feet off the bottom 4 feet downstream of your mainline.

Good luck.
