I am sure the last thing they thought about were the civil liabilities of their actions. As I said in my first post, It was unfortunate that she did what she did. The Deputy just happen to be
in the wrong place (even though he had the right to be there) at the wrong time. We are all lucky it was a trained professional in that situation and he reacted with the wisdom of his experience and training. She may have not been as fortunate if someone else was her victim. I am sure the Sheriff dept has talked with the family about the guns. I will talk with the grandsons to make sure. Having a long L.E background and dealing with people that have commited major crimes against people I have found very few of them really consider the consequences of their actions. Many of them just get their chained pulled.
