A buddy of mine turned me onto a custom 7' graphite composite rod designed by Doug Field who developed the buzz bomb and zinger jigs. It's turned out to be a great jig rod(Wont wear you out like the longer rods) which I use for jigging when bottom fishing. He loves it so much he uses it as his trolling outfit. Cost about $50. Dont know if you can still get them, you might want to check out the sport goods stores in your area
