If you get too far downstream on the stilly watch out. The white channel markers that are there are in the wrong spots. The sand has built up in places and on low tide most of the channel is actually out of water. I use the Marine view drive launch there a lot when Kayak point is crowded. Also, the question about sharks, yes they are the dog fish. At low tide they get stuck in the pools of water at the mouth. Sometimes while duckhunting or sturgeon fishing we will see a pool of water with a ton of fins in it from all the dogfish stuck in the pool. Most of them are really small fish but fun to watch thrash around in the shallow water.

If you take the Lakewood exit to get to the launch, the exxon at Seven Lakes also sells shrimp. But I am gonna be fishing Steamboat slough for the next week or so. My neighbor came home Yesterday with a 67" fishfrom there.
