As others have noted above, fishing is my habit. Don't get me wrong, I have others, but a lot of them come directly out of my fishing habit.

I never plan vacations more than two days long without considering where I'm going to fish while I'm there, and if there's something good going on where I'm at, I'll spend one of those two days fishing anyway.

I know chewing tobacco isn't good for you, and I only do it when I fish. However, I can't really be on the river without it. Besides not being good for me, Copenhagen is running damn near $8 a tin these days...it adds up when you fish as much as me. It looks like a few other Cope fans know exactly what I'm talking about...

I never stop for lunch when I fish, unless I'm in a boat so I can eat and fish at the same time, or can stuff food down as I drive from one spot to the next.

Generally, I just don't stop fishing at all when I'm out. If I'm walking from one hole to another, I'll cast as I walk. If I'm going down river, I'll drift fish or float fish. If I'm walking up and it will take more than a minute or two to get there and I'm on the bank, I'll switch over to a spinner so I can throw it up and walk to it as I reel.

Can't catch fish if your line's outta the water!

Fish on...

Todd
