I used 20 pound Power Pro as main line on my float rod for about a year and went back to mono. The rod I use (Loomis 1474) had too much power and with the combo of the rod and the braid (the rod is rated 10-17) I was snapping leaders on the hookset. Lost 4 fish on hooksets. I went back to Izor on the reel and haven't had that problem. If my float rod had lighter action the braid would be the way to go as I liked it other than the snapped leaders.
