I was in a hurry when I made the post and should've provided a little more information to hopefully narrow it down. I found it on the access road to the old northwest rock pit off devonshire. It was laying next to the road like it had fallen off a pickup or car after someone had forgotten to put it away. From the evidence that I saw, someone was probably a little excited about catching a fish and forgot about their rod

I figured I'd stop by before work tommorrow and put up a sign or two and maybe talk to some fisherman and see if I can't find the owner.

Thanks for the nice words guys. My parents were always big on honesty and it must've left an impression, because the thought of keeping it never even crossed my mind. Hopefully I can find the owner and return it before too long.
