8-2 has been spotty of late. There are still some nice fish being caught(12lbs+) but they are the exception as most of the fish have been on the thin side. There has been a definate lack of bait in most areas this year. March is probably the best time to fish the underwater banks in the straits as mentioned above.(if you have a boat big enough) During the end of march time frame the area between kingston and pt. no pt. can be a good place to intercept some of those early returning south sound kings.
