All three forks of the Snoqualamie hold good numbers of resident trout. The North Fork has some brookies as well as cutts and rainbow. The South Fork runs close to I-90 and is not the most estetically pleasing water to fish, but it holds lots of willing trout. Once the water drops, in late summer, you can C&R lots of willing 7-10 inch fish.

I have a biologist friend who used to snorkle the South Fork doing fish counts. He told me there are some 14 inch trout in there, but I have never exceded 12 inches. But, they are wild, willing and they fight well on a three wieght rod.

If gas prices continue to stay high I will be doing more of this stay at home fishing.
