I do a ton of fishing in the Islands...just about every rock wall out there is great for lings. I like peapod rocks. black rock near thatcher pass is reel good too I got a fish over 60 inchs long last year after the season was closed while fishing for greenling. wiliamson rocks near fedelgo (right near washington park) is another good spot, fish near the red can....bird leg rocks is another spot...the tide can rip on the out side rocks (black rock, bird leg,) or any side exposed to roserio strights...get the North pugit sound/San Jaun map and look for any deep water near the shore. then drop plactic jigs on a lead head/ or a big fat horse herring on a spreader. I reccomend 40 to 60 pound power pro due to the stength and the thin diameter(low drag in the current)...the San Jauns are under fished for lings so almost every bluff has lings....I especially like ones that show a rock slide. you can catch them from 10 to 200 feet of water....Hang on and good luck...DJ
