Did ok shrimping today. I took a friend and some kids out. Two pots down around 11 am not too far north of Edmonds in 250' of water and when we pulled them around 1:30 pm we had 120 shrimp big enough to keep. The real news was the two nine-year olds on the boat pulled up one pot by themselves for the first time.

While we were waiting we found some rock fish and ended up bringing three home that were about 2 lbs each. One was a black rock fish - I don't think I've ever caught one before.

I'm glad it didn't rain in the afternoon like the forecast said. It ended up being a great few hours on the water.

Sure hope the season is open at least a couple weekends!
