lots of bank access on the Wa. side. Just drive down there and look around. You will get the idea in a hurry. Like all fishing for anadromous fish , timing is everything.

Lots of unofficial camping areas along Highway 14 between Bonneville and Lyle. This place is beautiful but the wind blows like hell most of the time. At Drano Lake it can come from 3 different directions at once.

PS: I have also had mucho fun below John Day Dam later on in the run.
