And on the flip side, it annoys the piss out of me when people fish and crab off the piers at a boat launch. I launch at Mukilteo, and it's bad enough watching out for the unattended children diving off the pier, the guy thowing a stick into the ramp area for his dog to fetch and the elderly people feeding the pigeons in the trailer backing area, but I've also got to watch for some guy who gets pissy when my prop breaks off the buzz bomb that he decided to cast right in front of my moving boat. Guy had the cojones to demand five bucks from me, too. The guys with the crab rings are great, they heave the ring right into the center of the lane, as if the crabs are any different 15 feet to the side than straight down. I'ts like running a gauntlet some days. Luckily, when the city took over managing the ramp from the state, they put up "No Fishing" signs there.. seems to have deterred about 80% of the folks. I really don't understand... there are 2 (well, one of them was damaged last october, so temporarily only one) dedicated fishing piers not 200 yards from the ramp, in calmer deeper water to boot, and they will be empty while the boat piers are packed.
