Sky-Guy answered your question \:\) I floated the "ditch" once this year and struck out. It's kinda late now, but there's alot of fish coming over the dams now,a nd some must still be Icicle fish. The run really hadn't materialized this year, and I really lost interest in the fishery once the state closed fishing at the "mouth" last year.

We used to run the sleds up to the "deadline" and get first crack at the fish, but the scumballs that also fished it ruined it for all of us. Anyhow, there should be a few fish around, but they might be gettign a little ragged by now. But a "fight is still a fight" \:D . I fished this river hard for about 8 years, and my boat always got between 40-50 kings, but since things have changed, so have I. Try early (like 4am) right below the launch on the Icicle if your'e banking it, and if ya have a boat, my buddies had been doing OK right at the new "mouth" (couple of hundred yards upstream of the confluence with the Wenatchee). Plunked herring seems to be the ticket. Good luck, and if nothing else you'll have a nice day .
