Went out yesterday with Capt. Jerry Olsen on the Steeler with Advantage Charters. Only had 7 people on the boat including the skipper and the deckhand who got to fish too. We had a good time.

Jerry, next time we go out I'll try not to get blood on the side of your boat. (He has a new and a beautiful boat and wants to keep it that way. I can't blame him)

Fishing was good and bad. The boat caught 20 Coho and 1 small king (about 10lbs). We released 19 native Coho. Fishing was good, but we had to throw back almost everything we caught. My party included myself, my wife and a buddy. I thought for sure that we were going to bring home 6 fish. Turns out that between the 3 of us we caught 10 fish and threw back 9. The good news is that it is barbeque time tonight.

I didn't stick around too long after fishing, but did note that on Sunday a 34 lb king that came in. That is the new leader in that Charter Derby so far this season. The biggest one I saw come in yesterday was 22 lbs.
