A 6 wt is probably a little small but you can get by. I like a intermeadiate sinking line and a full sink line. A type XI sink tip can also do well.
On the sinking lines I usually have about 5 or 6 feet of tippet tapered down to 12 pound. These fish are not picky.
A chartuse and white clouser is really all you need for flies but I always take pink/white and a few baitfish patterns. Mainly tied in size 2.
Caught fish until we got too tired to cast last year but I havent tried it this year with the fly rod. When we were up for Kings 3 weeks ago the silvers were on the surface N of Tatoosh. Just find the rips and look for bait. If you cant find any fish just bucktail around for a little while until you run into some and then start working the area.
