Had the pix up on the reports page for a few days ... but since there seem to be a bunch of ling threads going, we thought we'd share our rare day on the salt.

Ya gotta love to fish when you finally get a day off (mandated by state law up here on July Sundays) ... and you just go fish on your own!

Our annual trip to Seward with Corey's Mom & Dad in search of fisheys that we personally don't see too much ourselves ...

The salmon never seem to match my shirt like this ... perfect!



Lings are Fishgal's fave to go after ... fine by me, I get to eat them this winter!



While she usually gets the big ones over me, it was my turn this day!

And one more, a look at our playful fishing companions ... loads of Dall's Porpoises in the area, a look at one showing off alongside the boat!



Best of all ... shorts & tanks by 8 AM on the Gulf of Alaska! Plus smooth as glass ... always good for my river blood!
