You can also find some 1:50,000 topo maps at http://www.topozone.com. They're free and they will show you where all the steep points and good beaches are. Don't know the url off the top of my head, but if you do a search for Department of Ecology Shoreline Aerial Homepage, you can find some decent aerial photos of Orcas Island.
