Drew,
Great news! Glad to hear you’re on the mend. The “better half” is relieved as well. Your dad’s report and pictures have put all of us at ease. But Drew, I gotta tell you there is still one thing that troubles me. I noticed that before you went in for surgery you were wearing a U-Dub shirt, but then when you came out you’re wearing and drinking from all this WaaBooHoo stuff. Something’s just not right here. So I’m wondering if any veterinarians might have slipped in with the other doctors that were working on you?
Oh well, I guess losing you to the other side is only a small price to pay for your good health and welfare. Be well my friend.

Dad,
Thanks for the update. All the best to you and your family during Drew’s recovery.

It would be an honor and a privilege to pray for you and the Children’s Hospital. Thanks also for your kind words but I am reminded that God looks at our heart and not just our words. But rest assured, when you wrote ‘I saw some kids there that could use a little help’, He not only saw your heart but He heard your prayer as well. What you said in a few words I don’t think I could say in ten thousand. I’ll try my hardest to say it in less.

Heavenly Father,

We praise you for your faithfulness. Just as you have promised never to forget your children, please also help us not to forget you or take for granted what you have done for us.

Thank you for what you are doing in and through the Children’s Hospital to heal and provide for the needs of your little ones. Lord, we humbly ask that you continue to bless those at Children’s Hospital so that your great mercy and love will be made known. May the wonder of your miracles never cease as you
Heal the sick,
Increase the skill of their physicians,
Enhance the knowledge of their teachers,
Guide their hospital management and service providers,
Give wisdom to their administrators and trustees,
Protect the facilities and the people who enter them,
And provide the resources, energy and prayers to sustain the work you have given them.

Lord, you told us that you not only came so that we might have life, but that we might have it more abundantly. We thank you that you not only provide for our physical needs but our spiritual needs as well. Therefore we also lift up those at Children’s Hospital that you would bring
Courage to those facing life’s difficult trials,
Strength to the weak,
Peace to the parents,
Unity to families,
Consolation to the downhearted,
Comfort to the mourning
And hope for the lost.

All this we ask in the precious name of your son, Jesus Christ.

Amen
