I'd agree to all that's said, but on my boat we all take turns. Everyone has their rod at first, but once a fish is bonked, the rods are the other guys. We do this when trolling, as it's generally a "luck" issue as we're using the same bait, tackle, rods etc. To me, it's only fair to "spread the wealth", and it makes the trip more enjoyable for everyone. I've been with other guys (while trolling) who have limited out, while I sat and just fished, and it just seemed to greedy to me. Just my opinion.
