I presume you mean tomic like plugs. These are great and the only thing you should put on these is scent so you don't mess up the action. Run them out 40-60 feet behind the boat on the downrigger. Before you lower them down watch the action. You want to speed up enough to make them dart back and forth, not shake like a river plug.
