It's been awhile since I've fished there but this time of the year there are usually large candlefish blooms just inside the point at Point Wilson. Have caught kings just outside the point in the rips trolling but used to have better luck jigging "Pt. wilson" darts right on the bottom inside the point but out of range of the casters on shore. Of course you could keep kings back then
