There's two things you'll quickly learn about river salmon fishing in Washington state, Hungry:

1 - If the fish are in... EVERYBODY knows about it and will be there fishing with you.

2 - If you want to find solitude while still catching fish, you'll have to do much research and exploring or buddy up with someone "in the know" cause most folks don't like to give away their "secret" locations, especially over the internet.

It can be intimidating going to a new river you've never fished before, but a little common sense and the willingness to get off of the beaten path can pay big dividends in more ways than one.
