Went to Everett Boat Launch at 4:30 this afternoon to get a fishing report from the checker.

The paved lot was pretty much full. The grass parking area was fairly full. So there are lots of people out. The launch was very busy for so late in the day, and the checker was still on duty.

Checker said the catch was about a silver per boat. If the lot holds about 500 rigs or so that would be about 500 fish caught. Not bad. Of course that's just an average.

Fresh herring is available for $6.00 per dozen at the trailer vendor stand near the rest rooms. My how the price has gone up since the Port of Everett started bidding out the right to be a vendor. Seems only yesterday those herring were $2.50 per dozen. Such is progress.

They're selling WILD silvers and WILD kings at the visitor's dock in the South Marina by Anthony's. Pretty cheap, only $2.79 per pound or something like that. The signs emphasize WILD since that's the new symbol for quality in the fish world I guess.

Not sure where the Kings are coming from, maybe the commercials?

So there are lots of fish to be caught, most people fishing the Mukilteo to ship wreck.
