There's a lot of stuff that works when the bite is on. My personal favorite is a white or silver flasher with a short leader and a "army truck" colored hootchie. If I'm using cut-plug, I brine em' first and use a longer leader. For the slower bite, I seem to have better luck with cut-plug.

For silvers, I seem to get a better bite running them from Deep Six divers rather than downriggers. I'll probably be there myself this weekend even though the forecast is looking pretty bad. Good Luck!
