Use a size #1 Dick Nite. Use the 50/50 - half copper half silver.

This is one size up from the Wee Nite. Wee Nites will also work.

Fish them like you would a standard drift fishing rig. Lengthen the leader to about 6 feet.

If fished correctly, *every* fish taken will be in the tip of the snout.

If fished incorrectly, *every* fish taken will be in the corner of the mouth. Can you say floss-o-rama?

Dick Nites work best in slack water to back eddy's. Cast behind the fish and SLOWY, and I DO MEAN SLOWLY, retrieve the Dick Nite back to you. They will hit it as it passes them from behind. Did I mention SLOWLY????

The fish will either stop or "DINK" the Dick Nite. Set the hook and enjoy.

Big swirling eddies packed with milling fish are great places for Dick Nites. The big eddie below Lewis St. is a great place to fish Dick Nites when they are in there.

I think everyone is fishing either Crab Bar or Thomas Eddie now (from the bank). Sleds or drift boats will go until you find a lot of fish rolling.

You can work a Dick Nite across a swift current, but odds are, you are just flossing fish as they pass by. At least that is what happens every time I tend to target coho in traveling lanes. Floss fest.
