The coho landed yesterday was 33in. length, 20.5in. girth. I guessed 15-16lbs. Bled it and put it in the box with a few blocks of ice. Weighed it a few hours later on a cheapo scale, reading a little over 15lbs.
Well, a lurker friend pluged the measurements in Bob's Salmon / Stealhead formula with a result of 17.89lbs.
Is there a better formula for hooknose?
Or should I get a better scale?
