I was just out on the snohomish off Treotsi road with about 30 other people. I was the only one on shore to catch one this evening - and it fought so hard I thought it was the largest coho in the river. It turned out to be about a 14# chum! I didn't have the regs handy (quite a few rocks away) so I released it healthy. Just found out I could have kept it. anyone keep any in the snohomish? It was still bright - could it have been good to eat? I would have kept it had I known it was Chinkook and Pinks we have to release - I thought it was Chinkook and Chum - live and learn. Anyway, a couple boats came by and said they caught a couple a piece. Just as the sun set - the river was boiling and no one was catching them. But, they were definately in there - very cool sight. I think I'll try further down river to find some biters next time (like the lowel river road).
